The preliminary examination was held on 22 February, 27, 28 and 1 March 2025. The SBI Clerk Prelims Exam included 100 marks and lasted for an hour. The question paper had three sections: English language, numerical ability and logic capacity. If the answer was incorrect, one-fourth points were cut off to a question.

Candidates who pass the preliminary examination are eligible to appear for the main examination. Each category fixed by the bank will be shortlisted for the main examination, which was organized from the list of all the candidates, which are organized in the descending order of the total marks.
