Delhi School Admission 2025: The Directorate of Education has issued guidelines for admission in admission levels and special schools run by Delhi Government on classes 1 to 9 and 11.

Students passing through the previous class from a recognized school will be directly admitted from class 6 to 9, the Directorate of Education (DOE) has said on 6 March in a circular date.

Out-of-school children seeking admission in class 6 will undergo an assessment to check their basic literacy and numerical skills.

Students applying for classes 7 and 8 have not studied in a recognized school, they can be admitted from their parents on a simple venture basis.

Admission to class 9 is only for students who have passed through the previous class from a recognized school.

Students transferring from feeder schools with valid documents are exempted from age criteria and can give the major six months exemption of schools if requested by parents.

According to the guidelines, the age criteria for admission to government particular schools is based on class level, as on 31 March of the academic year.

For admission level classes, age limit for nursery is three to seven years, four to eight years for kindergarten, five to nine years for class 1, six to 11 years for class 2, seven to 12 years for class 3, seven to 12 years for class 3, eight to 13 years for class 4 and nine to 14 years for class 5.

For mid level, age limit is 10-16 years for class 6, 11-17 years for class 7, 12-18 years for class 8, and 13–19 years for class 9.

For admission to class 11, students must be between 15 and 21 years.

The guidelines also mentioned a discount of up to six months in some cases, based on class level and school discretion.

For admission in class 11, DOE said that students who pass the examination of Secondary School (Class 10) will be eligible.

Students who have completed class 10 from the National Institute of Open School Institutions must be at least 50 percent in five subjects to choose for humanities without skill subjects and 45 percent for humanities with skills subjects.

For disabled children, DOE highlighted that admission to schools for blind students required a disability certificate or unique disability ID (UDID) card.

For intellectual disabled students, admissions are limited to people classified for moderate to intensive disability based on IQ levels.

According to the DOE guidelines, students living in Trans-Yamuna areas will be given priority due to transport boundaries.

For hearing-stun students, DOE specified that it would only be important for those to have severe hearing loss (above 61 dB), requiring additional assessments such as PTA (hearing tests) and IQ tests.

The DOE said that all admissions will be organized online on the official website.

He said that preference will be given to those students who have brothers and sacking in special schools of the government.

While children living in Delhi will be given priority, non-residents can be applied for hostel facilities if the seats are vacant after accepting the students in Delhi.

The Directorate also emphasized that the entrance will be subject to the availability of the seat and a lot of conducted if the applications are more than the available seats.
